Competitive Cyclist Reviews Electric DuraAce “Di2”

May 7, 2010

I’m skeptical too: Mainly because of the price. Mechanical Dura Ace works great at a fraction of the price. You might even say that Mechanical Ultegra works just fine for 99.999% of serious race riders.

So who else besides Tri-geeks (who enjoy urinating on themselves mid race, take that straw man!) would actually buy this?

  1. The immediate cut to him in full race gear is terribly funny for some reason. Very awkward.

the di2 works very nice but i see no reason why it should cost so much. personaly i like my ride simple and will most likely never own this crap even when the price does come down. but just like carbon fiber, soon it will be on every deusch bags bike that can hammer out a 15 mph pace… on your left bitches!

  3. it might just be a bit out of my price range.
looks cool but for that price i could hire some Sherpa to bike alongside of me and adjust the trim on my front D as I shift thru the hills round here.
